With the UK cycling bonanza showing no signs of slowing down, it is even more difficult to get your pride and joy serviced or repaired, with most bike shops having month-long waiting lists for even minor repairs.

I am offering a mobile & Workshop bicycle repair service so you can get your trusty steed fixed and back on the road in no time at all. I will repair outside your home or collect and service, repair and return your bike whilst adhering to Covid-19 health and safety protocols.

Preferential treatment for key workers who use their bikes to get to and from work!

Coverage

The mobile repair service is available within a 15 mile radius of Metheringham LN4 3EH and further by agreement*

Areas covered: Metheringham-Sleaford, Conningsby, Horncastle, Bardney, Branston, Heighington, Washingborough, Potterhanworth, Nocton, Dunston, Cranwell, Navenby, Bracebridge Heath, Lincoln, Digby, Cherry Willingham, Fiskerton, Ruskington, Bassingham, Aubourn, Waddington, Brant Broughton, Welton, Coleby, Harmston and all the other interconnecting villages.

What we offer

Bike repairs & servicing

We offer a full range of mobile bicycle repair services, from puncture repairs to complete bike re-builds and custom builds. The work can be completed at your home or workplace, alternatively we can collect your bike and return it to you after the work has been completed.

As an experienced Cytech qualified provider , we are fully insured to carry out work and transport customer bikes in our charge.

Pricing

Please note: there is a minimum callout charge of £30.00 which is not added to the bill if labour is more than £30.00.

For appointments outside of our 10 mile working radius there may be a charge of 45p extra per mile

If your bicycle is in a dirty condition there may be a charge for cleaning to allow for closer inspection of the frame and components.

Prices do not include the cost of replacement parts unless mentioned.

Build

Full bike build of new bike (from scratch) — £110

New Bike in a box (Build & PDI & set up) — £40

Brakes

Brake Service – Brake adjustment, clean, inspect pad/replace & lube — £20

Brake Cable – Inner & outer replacement, adjust (single/pair) — £20 / £30

Hydraulic Brake Service – Remove pads, clean & inspect. Replace fluid & bleed system as required — £35

Disc Brake Rotor fitting – Single/Paid Rotor(s) & suitable frame/fork (adaptors to order) — £19 / £35

Gears

Gear Service – Adjust, Index, Clean & Lubricate (front & rear each) — £20

Front Derailleur replace & Set up — £20

Rear Derailleur replace & Set up — £20

Gear Cables – Replace & adjust (pair) — £25

Tyres & wheels

Wheel Truing (new spokes from £1.20 each) — £20

Tyre or tube replacement (1 wheel / 2 wheels) — £10 / £15

Puncture repair / tube replacement (includes tube cost) — £10

Tubeless wheel conversions - both wheels £30 plus parts

Hub Service (Front) — £15

Hub Service (Rear) — £25

Headset & suspension

Fork Fitting including Crown Race fitting — £30

Headset Replacement — £20

Headset Service (Replace Bearings & Adjust) — £15

Bars & grips / tape

Handlebar – Fit/Replace — £25 (including re-taping)- Hydraulic routing extra!

Stem – Fit/Replace — £10

Grip/bar Tape – Replace — £20

Drive-train

Fit Bottom Bracket — £25

Chain + Cassette replacement (chains usually last about 3000km and you usually get 3 x chains to 1 x cassette. Nb if chain is allowed to reach 100% wear then it will usually destroy the cassette teeth profiles) —£20/£25

Chain-set / Crank-set replacement / inner Chain Ring replacement — £25

Chain-ring replacement – replace outer ring if chain-set / crank-set not removed — £15

Re tap crank pedal thread (1 pedal / 2 pedals) — £15 / £20

Degrease & lubricate chain — £15

Servicing

Some may offer a cheaper service for your custom, but always read the ‘detail’ and remember, - you’re not paying for our hours and minutes, you’re paying for our years and experience!

Bronze Service Recommended after 6-9 months of riding. The plan includes gears and brakes adjusted, chain checked and lubricated, full safety check and advice on worn or faulty components, all fixtures, fittings and bearings checked and correctly adjusted / torqued and a basic wheel true — £40

Silver Service Recommended after 9-12 months of riding. Includes all the bronze package, plus the drivetrain / gears cleaned or stripped and de-greased, if necessary, components lubricated and wheels tensioned and trued, plus spoke replacement if required — £65

Gold Service Recommended after 12-18 months of riding. Includes Bronze and Silver package, plus a complete bike valet, full strip down with all components removed and rebuilt, comprehensive inspection, cleaning and appropriate lubing and re-greasing of components —  £120

Cables & Bar Tape Replacement - Replace both gear & brake cables and cable outers and bar tape (this is a highly recommended yearly service that will keep your shifting and braking silky smooth. Bar tape will usually be required to be replaced to achieve this on drop handlebar road bikes - something that should be done yearly regardless) - Cables only replaced £50 Cables & Bar tape replaced £65 (black bar tape inc) alternatively you can supply own bar tape and this will be £55 (complex TT/Tri bikes may be charged more)

Upgrades

Consult with us on how you can improve specific components on your bike such as lower gearing for climbing, better wheels and tyres, performance finishing kit - seat-post, stem and bars.
